Lady of Shalott

Inspired by the Pre-Raphaelites, the poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson, and a series of Baroque paintings of Judith depicting her in sumptuous yellow dresses against an earthy background, I created this project that speaks as much about me as it does about any artistic journey really; the relationship between the artist and the art, and the impulse to leave the safety of the inner world to engage with nature.
